'Blades make changes to IR

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush, along with head coach Gerry Fleming announced today that defenseman Grant McNeill has been activated from the 30-day injured reserve list, and that defenseman Chris Lee has been placed on the 7-day IR. As per team policy the nature of the injury was not released.

McNeill, 22, returns to the Everblades lineup after missing the last 18 games since suffering an injury in Florida's 5-4 shootout loss to the Idaho Steelheads on February 3. The Vermillion, Alberta native has two points (1g, 1a) and 131 penalty minutes in 30 games with the Everblades this season. McNeill's goal was the first of his professional career, scored on January 15 at Bakersfield.

The former 3rd round draft pick by the Florida Panthers in 2001, has also skated in two games in the American Hockey League this season with Rochester.

Lee, 25, heads to the IR after suffering an injury in Florida's 2-1 shootout win over Augusta on March 17. The native of MacTier, Ontario has tallied 37 points (10g, 27a) in 49 games with the Everblades this season. The trip to the IR is Lee's second this year, having missed seven games from February 17 - March 4.

The Everblades return to action tonight when they travel to Augusta to take on the Lynx at 7:35 p.m. from the Augusta-Richmond County Civic Center.
