MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Omaha Storm Chasers (4-2) had their three-game winning streak snapped with a 4-2 loss to the Memphis Redbirds (3-3) Wednesday afternoon. The Storm Chasers had allowed only two runs in their last three games combined before today's loss.

Luke Hochevar started the game as part of his MLB Rehab and walked in a run in the first inning, one of three free passes in the opening frame. After Jose Martinez gave the Chasers a 2-1 lead in the second on a two-run homer, his first Triple-A long ball, Aaron Brooks came on in the third inning and gave up a go-ahead, two-run home run to Xavier Scruggs. Omaha would not overcome the 3-2 deficit and Scruggs added a solo homer in the eighth, his league-leading 4th of the season, to finish the scoring.

Brooks (0-1, 4.50 ERA) suffered the loss in the game, his first loss in 11 PCL appearances dating back to August 3, 2014, despite allowing only the two runs in five innings of work. The right-hander's last loss was also at the hands of the Redbirds on July 29, 2014 at Werner Park, and Memphis is the only team to tag Brooks with a defeat in any of his last 20 appearances for Omaha (dates back to June 15 of the 2014 season).

Omaha came in to the game with the best winning percentage in the Pacific Coast League, and are the last team in the PCL to suffer multiple defeats in 2015. With the loss, the Storm Chasers now hold a 33-32 edge against the Redbirds in regular season games since the start of the 2011 season.

In the final game of the season-opening roadtrip, Omaha will send out RHP Joe Blanton (0-1, 3.60 ERA) to face off with Memphis LHP Tim Cooney (1-0, 0.00 ERA). First pitch on 1180 Zone 2 The Deuce and MiLB.TV is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
