El Paso Chihuahuas News Release

The El Paso Chihuahuas broke a two-game losing skid by beating the Reno Aces 4-2 Wednesday night at Southwest University Park. Austin Hedges went 3-for-4 with his first Triple-A home run in the victory.

Reno went ahead 1-0 on a first-inning RBI single by Garrett Weber. It was the fifth consecutive game that the Chihuahuas' opponent scored first. El Paso took its first lead of the series in the second inning on Brett Wallace's solo home run and a run-scoring error by Reno shortstop Danny Worth. After Reno tied the game in the top of the third, the Chihuahuas pushed ahead again in the bottom of the third on Taylor Lindsey's bases loaded walk. Hedges' solo home run in the bottom of the eighth provided an insurance run.

El Paso's bullpen was excellent Wednesday, combining to strike out eight Aces in four innings of work.
