
Storm Add Two Rookies

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm of the ECHL announced today the signing of forward Braken Kearns and defenseman Jeff Lang.
Lang comes to Toledo following a 4-year college career at the University of Massachusetts - Amherst. Jeff appeared in 120 games in his college career, scoring 7 goals and adding 20 assists. "Lang is a steady and solid defenseman that comes from an excellent conference (Hockey East)," said Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel Nick Vitucci. "He will definitely add some depth to our defense core." Jeff twice has been a member of the Hockey East All-Academic Team.
Kearns, a native of Vancouver, British Columbia, has spent the last 4 years with the University of Calgary. During that time, Braken has appeared in 136 games with 31 goals and 52 assists. Vitucci said of Kearns, "Braken has the skill to be a very good player for us in the fall. His production has increased in each of the last 4 years. He will fit in nicely."
