Bakersfield Condors News Release

Over the last month the Condors have signed five new players, with plenty more soon to come. Forwards Justin Quenneville, Oscar Stenberg, Sean Venedam, Scott Borders and defenseman Anders Olsson will suit up for the Condors in October. Together they'll bring high energy, speed and size to the Condors lineup. With the addition of these five players, the Condors now have a total of seven players signed for the upcoming season including Nate Metcalf and Reagan Leslie.

Quenneville was named to the United Hockey League All-Star team last year in his rookie season. Olsson played for Mastini Varese HC in Italy last season after playing four years at Bemidji State University in Minnesota. Stenberg, a native of Sweden has played for Swedish and Czech hockey clubs including Uppsala of the Allsvenskan North League. Borders was named Lethbridge Hurricanes' Defensive Player of the Year three times. Borders also won the 2001-02 WCHL Championship Taylor Cup with Fresno. Venedam led the Fort Wayne Komets in goal scoring and was named Best Defensive Forward in the UHL last season.
