
Titans and Flyers Renew Affiliation

TRENTON, NJ (August 11, 2005) -The Trenton Titans announced today that they have renewed their affiliation agreement with the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League. The new two-year agreement will once again allow the Titans to serve as the ECHL affiliate for the Flyers and Philadelphia Phantoms (AHL).
"We are very happy to be continuing our relationship with the Philadelphia Flyers family," said Titans' General Manager and COO, Jim Leahy. "We look forward to assisting in their player development while maintaining our on-ice success."
Trenton has been affiliated with both Philadelphia franchises since its inception in 1999. During the six-year history of the Titans organization, three players have appeared with the Flyers while thirty-six players have donned a Phantoms jersey. In 2004-05 the Titans had ten players called-up to the Phantoms.
"We are very happy with our relationship with the Titans over the past few years and we look forward to more of the same in the future," Flyers Assistant General Manager, Paul Holmgren stated. "It is an excellent situation for us geographically and organizationally. Working with Trenton is an outstanding tool in terms of player development and we're excited to be affiliated with them for another two years."

The Trenton Titans are a member of the ECHL - North America's Premier "AA" Hockey League.
