Johnstown Chiefs News Release

Johnstown, PA (August 11, 2005) - The Johnstown Chiefs announced today, that Kevin McGeehan has been promoted to the Vice-President of Business Operations. He takes over for Jim Brazill, who is leaving the team to become the Director of External Affairs for Athletics at St. Francis University in nearby Loretto.

"I am very grateful for the opportunity that Jim Weber has given me. Filling Jim Brazill's shoes is not an easy task. In my six years here, I have gained so much knowledge of the hockey business from him. I know quite a bit of our season ticket members already, but now I look forward to building personal relationships with all of them. They along with our sponsors are the backbone of the Johnstown Chiefs," said McGeehan.

McGeehan, 28, will be responsible for the overall sales and marketing of the team in addition to overseeing public relations efforts as well. The Dover, NH native was the Chiefs Director of Public/Media Relations since the 1999-2000 season where he was also responsible for corporate sponsorship sales. He is a 1999 graduate of Quinnipiac University (Hamden, CT) with a bachelor's degree in mass communications.

"We added two sales people to our staff. More than ever we are in a position to succeed in a big way. We are going to be able to try some things that we were unable to do before on the promotional front. A big focus of the new personnel we hired is group sales, an area we can improve on," McGeehan added.

Brazill, 35, leaves the Chiefs after thirteen seasons. He served multiple rolls with the team and was the Vice-President and General Manager for the last three seasons. He was a runner-up for the 2004 ECHL Executive of the Year. Brazill's last day with the Chiefs is August 26th.

Season ticket and corporate sponsor packages for the 2005-2006 season are now available by calling (814) 539-1799 or 1-800-CHF-TIXX.
