Tri-City Storm News Release
Kearney, NE. - The Tri-City Storm have announced the addition of Jakob Ringsby to the roster. Ringsby is currently playing junior hockey in Sweden and is expected to join the Storm for the team's upcoming home games against Central Illinois following a road trip to Youngstown this week. Ringsby becomes the 4th player from Sweden on the Storm roster, joining teammates Filip Larsson, Hugo Blixt, and Filip Forsmark.
Jakob Ringsby, 18, from Karlstad, Sweden, has skated in 29 games with Farjestad BK J20 this season, and has scored 12 goals, added 12 assists, and has a +14 rating for the team. He had 4 goals, 7 assists, and was a +1 rating with the team last season. Ringsby has represented team Sweden in international events at both the U17, and U18 levels.
"Jakob is a natural centerman who will bring speed down the middle of our lineup, something that we have been actively searching for. His hockey resume speaks for itself, he has represented his country on an international stage multiple times and is having a great year with Farjestad in Sweden. We are excited to add Jakob to our roster and we look forward to him joining our team for this stretch run to the postseason" - President of Hockey Operations Steve Lowe
The Storm travel to Youngstown, Ohio this weekend for a two game series with the Youngstown Phantoms.
