
Stockton Kings Tie NBA G League Record in 142-134 Win over South Bay Lakers, Bringing Home Record to 6-0

Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton Kings (10-5), the NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings, beat the South Bay Lakers (8-7), the NBA G League affiliate of the Los Angeles Lakers, 142-134 to bring their record to 6-0 at home. Stockton tied an NBA G League record 31 three-pointers in tonight's win over South Bay. South Bay guard Gary Payton ll scored a game-high 38 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Stockton was led by guard Gabe Vincent who scored 35 points off the bench, 27 of them from beyond the arch.
Stockton scored 24 of their 38 first quarter points from three-point range. In the second quarter, Stockton shot 69% (9-of-13) from three-point range. Vincent scored four of the nine three-pointers, finishing the quarter with 14 points. South Bay center Travis Wear scored 23 of his 26 points in the first half. Stockton guard Kyle Guy sank a three-pointer with 2 seconds remaining in the first half to bring the score to 75-68 with Stockton ahead.
In the third quarter, Payton ll scored 13 of his 38 points, shooting 5-of-6 from the field. Stockton saw their biggest lead at the eight-minute mark in the fourth quarter when they led 128-105. South Bay was able to bring the score to 130-129 with Stockton ahead with just under four minutes remaining but could not catch up.
Stockton saw four players score over 20 points. Forward Cody Demps contributed 27 points, six assists, and six rebounds all from the defensive end. Sacramento Kings assignment player Caleb Swanigan had a game-high 16 rebounds, 12 of them from the defensive end.
Four of South Bay's seven active players finished with double figures. Payton ll led both teams in scoring with 38 points, and added 12 rebounds, four steals, and three assists. Forward Talen Horton-Tucker followed with 33 points, nine assists, seven rebounds, and four steals.
The Stockton Kings will head to the NBA G League Winter Showcase in Las Vegas, Nevada to face the Delaware Blue Coats on Thursday, December 19th at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
Stockton will return home for back-to-back home games after Christmas on December 27 and 28. On Friday, December 27, Stockton will host the Texas Legends at 7 p.m. On Saturday, December 28, the Stockton Kings will celebrate Star Wars Night as they take on the Santa Cruz Warriors at 7 p.m.
At each of these games, the Stockton Kings will host a toy drive to benefit the Table Community Foundation. Fans who donate a toy will receive a free ticket to the night's game.
