December 1, 2023 - NBA G League (G League)
Stockton Kings News Release

Today, the Stockton Kings, the NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings, announced activations for their annual Season of Doing Good including donations, parades and holiday magic.

"The holiday season is a special time to gather with friends, family and community and celebrate the year," said Stockton Kings Vice President of Business of Operations Aaron Morales. "We are excited to use our platform to add to the festive season and give back to those in need."

This season the team will donate 1,700 toys to local families provided by Jazwares Cares, the philanthropic arm of leading global toy company Jazwares. Toys will be distributed across multiple organizations including the Children's Home of Stockton, Department of Child Support Services, El Concillo, Emergency Food Bank, Mary Graham Children's Foundation, Oasis City Center, Parents By Choice, and Toys for Tots drive presented by Kaiser Permanente and Widmer Elementary.

In addition, the Stockton Kings have partnered with Santa Dash to promote registration and encourage participation in the walk/ run event taking place on December 2 at the University of the Pacific. The first 250 participants who registered for the event, will receive tickets to a Stockton Kings game, and a portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Midsole Project, a nonprofit that aims to mitigate barriers that prevent youth from being able to run.

The team will continue to spread holiday magic throughout Stockton as part of local parades and other festive events. On December 2, as the team takes on the G League Ignite, the arena will be transformed into a winter wonderland including photo opportunities with Dunkson Claus and the Grinch, holiday merch deals and more. The first 500 fans in attendance will receive a free, limited-edition Dunkson holiday hat. And on December 12, as the team hosts the Salt Lake City Stars, the Stockton Kings will light the menorah for the fifth night of Hannukah with Rabbi Avremel Brod and the Chabad of Stockton. The first 500 fans in attendance will receive a Stockton Kings LED baton.

All Season of Doing Good event benefactors and audiences are predetermined and selected in collaboration with local nonprofit partners and community organizations.
