College Park Skyhawks News Release

College Park, Ga. - The College Park Skyhawks (5-3) dropped a tight contest to the Westchester Knicks (7-2), 82-79 on Friday at the Gateway Center Arena at College Park during 'Education Day presented by CareSource'.

Hawks two-way guard/forward Seth Lundy led the team in scoring with 16 points (6-16 FG, 2-7 3FG) and added eight rebounds. Chris Silva (14 points), Tyson Etienne (12 points), Jarkel Joiner (12 points), and Brandon Randolph (10 points) joined Lundy in double figures.

The Skyhawks held the Knicks to 43 points in the first half, the second fewest allowed in any first half for the team this season (41 on Nov. 29), to take a 46-43 lead into the break.

The game carried on as a low-scoring affair in the second half as the Skyhawks held the Knicks to 39 points in the second half - the second fewest allowed in any half this season for the Skyhawks. However, the Knicks came up with some stops down the stretch and ultimately outlasted the Skyhawks, 82-79.

Despite the loss, the Skyhawks held their fifth straight opponent to fewer than 110 points, which sets a franchise record.

The Knicks were led by Obadiah Noel with 16 points. Former Atlanta Hawk Brandon Goodwin added 11 points and dished 10 assists.

The Skyhawks and Knicks will conclude their two-game set on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Gateway Center Arena. The following day, the Skyhawks will play host to the Long Island Nets for the first time this season, with tip-off set for 7 p.m.
