Stingrays Weekly: Pink in the Rink and Bike Night Highlight Weekend for Stingrays

The South Carolina Stingrays traveled to Germain Arena in Estero, Florida for three games against the Florida Everblades this week for a record of 0-1-2-0. On Wednesday, forwards Mike Hamilton, Pierre-Luc O'Brien and Maxime Lacroix lit the lamp, but the Everblades prevailed 4-3 in overtime. Forward Daniel Koger scored in his Stingrays debut Friday night in a 4-1 Everblades victory. The two teams wrapped up a five-game series Saturday evening with the Everblades skating to a 2-1 overtime win.

Taking the Lead

The Stingrays are third in the South Division with 62 points and sixth overall in the Eastern Conference.

Forward Trent Campbell is tied for first in the ECHL with four shorthanded assists.

Netminder Daren Machesney is fourth in the league with a 2.31 goals-against average and fifth with a .920 save percentage.

Goaltender Philipp Grubauer ranks fifth in the ECHL with a 2.37 goals-against average, tied for third with 19 wins and fourth with 2,073 minutes played.

Defenseman Johann Kroll is tied for 19 among ECHL defensemen with 23 points (6g, 17a) and tied for second among defensemen with two shorthanded points (1g, 1a).

Defenseman Derek Keller is tied for second among league defensemen with two shorthanded assists.

Defenseman Zach Tarkir is first among ECHL defensemen with four game-winning goals and tied for 19 with 23 points (8g, 15a).
