The teams played a mostly-even opening period, but a late power play goal gave Alaska the advantage at intermission. On a man advantage Kane Lafranchise powered a slapshot off of goaltender Matt Keetley and into the net behind him at 18:25 for his second goal of the season. The Aces outshot the Condors 9-7 in the period.

The Aces seized control of the second period, spending most of it in the Condors zone and outshooting Bakersfield 13-4 in the frame. Chris Langkow scored his second goal of the weekend at 10:10 after a centering pass banked off the body of Bakersfield defenseman Justin Pender just outside the crease and right to Langkow. The Aces took a 2-0 lead into the third period.

The Aces continued to advance their lead in the third period with a couple of goals. Bryan Miller scored on a five-on-three power play at 10:14 to make it 3-0. Minutes later Nick Mazzolini scored on a one-timer at 13:38 to give the Aces a 4-0 lead. It appeared the Aces would run away with the game, but the Condors came back with a late flurry. Tyler Helfrich broke Adam Courchaine's shutout bid at 17:32 on a power play to get the Condors on the board. Bakersfield then pulled their goaltender trailing by three, and got goals 16 seconds apart in the final minute to make it a one-goal game. Bakersfield got a late power play chance to try and score the improbable equalizer, but Courchaine and company stood their ground to get the 4-3 win.

Adam Courchaine (18-10-4) earned the win, making 16 saves on 19 shots. Matt Keetley (10-17-2) took the loss, stopping 29 of 33 shots. The Aces power play went 2-6, while the Condors went 1-4. The Aces outshot the Condors 33-19 in the game.
