
Nathan Lutz and Darcy Campbell Honored as Silver Skaters

Hoffman Estates, IL - The Chicago Express, proud member of the ECHL and proud affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, announced today that D Nathan Lutz and D Darcy Campbell were named the ECHL's Silver Skaters for the Chicago Express, while G Peter Mannino is Chicago's Golden Goalie. The three players will wear special jerseys on Saturday when the Express host the Florida Everblades.
Fans had the opportunity to vote on ECHL.com pqiqqvo8WeIww=] for up to one player on each ECHL member team's ballot to help select the Silver Skaters for each team. Two players from each member team have been selected to wear the Silver Skater Fantasy Team custom-specialty game-worn jerseys.
Lutz became the first player ever signed by the Chicago Express, when he was named to the team on June 21, 2011. On the season, Lutz has compiled four goals and six assists for 10 points while leading the team in plus/minus with a +14 rating. The Mistatim, Saskatchewan, native was named the team's captain on October 13, and has worn the "C" all season.
Campbell joined the Express this season after leading all Central Hockey League defensemen in both assists and points last year. He began the season for Chicago with a four game assist streak from October 15 through November 4, and scored the game winning goal on Sunday in Kalamazoo. Campbell is currently third among all ECHL defensemen with 15 power play assists, and is tied for fourth on the Express with 28 points. The Airdrie, Alberta, native leads all Express defensemen with 23 assists and 28 points.
Mannino was assigned to the Express on January 13 by the Winnipeg Jets, and has since started 17 straight games for Chicago. The 6-1, 195 pound netminder earned the second shutout in Express history on January 28, blanking the Cincinnati Cyclones in a 3-0 Chicago win at the Sears Centre Arena. Mannino lead Chicago to its club-record five game winning streak from January 28 through February 4, where he collected a 1.97 GAA, .937 save percentage, and one shutout.
