ECHL, MeiGray Group Announce First 16 Silver Skaters

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced on Monday the first 16 Silver Skaters for the markets which will participate this weekend in the ECHL Silver Skater Fantasy Team, presented by The MeiGray Group .

Fans had the opportunity to vote on ECHL.com for up to one player on each ECHL member team's ballot to help select the Silver Skaters for each team. Two players from each member team have been selected to wear the Silver Skater Fantasy Team custom-specialty game-worn jerseys.

Goaltenders will also be participating through the Golden Goalie Program. The starting goaltender for each team's preselected date will wear a specially designed metallic-gold jersey.

Each of the Silver Skater and Golden Goalie jerseys will be available for bid through The MeiGray Group . The teams participating in the Silver Skater and Golden Goalie program this week will be available for bid starting on Monday, March 5 and running through Thursday, March 22.

Two players from eight ECHL teams will wear the Silver Skater jerseys this weekend. Those teams, and the players who have been selected are:

Friday, Feb. 24

Silver Skaters - Peter Boyd and Scott Freeman

Golden Goalie - Matt Keetley

Silver Skaters - Chad Costello and Aaron Schneekloth

Golden Goalie - Kyle Jones

Silver Skaters - Trent Daavettila and Justin Taylor

Golden Goalie - Riley Gill

Saturday, Feb. 25

Silver Skaters - Wes Goldie and Dan Kissel

Golden Goalie - Adam Courchaine

Silver Skaters - Darcy Campbell and Nathan Lutz

Golden Goalie - Peter Mannino

Silver Skaters - Mathieu Aubin and Mike Liambas
