
Stingrays Featured as ECHL Game of the Week

South Carolina Stingrays News Release
North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays, ECHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, announced today that the club will be featured on the NHL Network this Saturday night as the ECHL Game of the Week. South Carolina's 7-2 loss at Florida on Jan. 5 will be rebroadcast on NHL Network this Saturday, January 12 at 7 p.m.
2007-08 is the sixth year in a row and the first time in the United States, that the NHL Network will showcase Premier 'AA' Hockey League teams and players each week with the ECHL Game of the Week. This is the only scheduled appearance of the Stingrays this season.
The ECHL Game of the Week is available in more than 80 million homes across America including through agreements with Cablevision, Comcast, Cox Communications, DIRECTV, DISH Network and Time Warner Cable.
The ECHL Game of the Week will air each Saturday at 7 p.m. ET and will be rebroadcast each Sunday at 1 p.m. ET. Fans can visit the NHL Network web site at www.NHLNetwork.ca to check the schedule.
NHL Network has broadcast the Kelly Cup Finals each of the past four years and will again feature extensive coverage of the Kelly Cup Playoffs in April and May.
Catch the Stingrays in action tonight against the Texas Wildcatters at 8:30 p.m. on ESPN Radio 910 the Team. The Rays return home on Tuesday, Jan. 15th for Frozen Gopher Night as they host the Augusta Lynx at 7:05 p.m.
