
Dave McKee Loaned To AHL Grand Rapids

PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL, a proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks and the Worcester Sharks, have announced that goalie Dave McKee has been loaned to Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League.
McKee, 24, is 3-4-3 in 11 appearances this season with the RoadRunners and the Augusta Lynx, and has recorded a 3.73 goals against average and a .904% save percentage. Acquired from Augusta on Nov. 14, 2007, McKee has posted a record of 3-3-3 in his 10 starts with the RoadRunners with a 3.37 goals against average and a .913% save percentage. He began the year with Iowa of the AHL after signing a professional try-out agreement on Oct. 19, 2007, and went 0-2-0 in two starts for the Stars with a 5.11 goals against average and a .841% save percentage. McKee also attended 2007 training camp with the Phoenix Coyotes.
The Irving, Texas native and second-year professional started seven games last season with Portland of the AHL going 5-2-0 with a 2.85 goals against average and a .899% save percentage. Prior to turning pro, McKee accumulated a record of 65-24-13 in three seasons at NCAA Division I Cornell University and posted 18 shutouts, breaking Cornell hockey legend and NHL Hall of Fame goalie Ken Dryden's career record of 13.
Phoenix continues its season-long 12-game road trip at 8:30 p.m. Friday as they battle the Fresno Falcons from the Save Mart Center. Catch all the action live on Independent 1310 KXAM beginning with "RoadRunners Countdown" at 8:15 p.m.
The RoadRunners return to US Airways Center at 7:11 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30 when the open a five-game home-stand with the Las Vegas Wranglers.
