Stingrays Blank Lynx 4-0

AUGUSTA, GA - Michael Dubuc scored twice and Michal Neuvirth stopped all 25 shots as the South Carolina Stingrays shut out the Lynx 4-0 at James Brown Arena on Sunday. The game marked Lynx Head Coach John Marks 1000th game as a coach in the ECHL.

A pair of first period goals allowed South Carolina to take a 2-0 advantage. Pierre-Luc O'Brien and Michael Dubuc scored three minutes apart in the opening frame. Dubuc scored his second of the game at 8:26 of the second period. It came on the power play as the Stingrays led 3-0. Steve Pinizzotto finished the scoring in the third as he found a small opening beating goaltender Riku Helenius.

South Carolina out shot the Lynx 26-25. The Stingrays finished 1 for 4 on the power play while the Lynx went 0 for 5. Augusta heads back out on the road for a pair of games beginning on Friday night in Southwest Florida against the Everblades.
