
Stingrays Acquire Forward Jordan Kwas from Colorado Eagles

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC- The South Carolina Stingrays, celebrating 23 seasons in the Lowcountry and proud affiliate of the National Hockey League's Washington Capitals, announced today that they have acquired forward Jordan Kwas from the Colorado Eagles for forward Kyle Kraemer.
Kwas, 26, is in his second professional season. He has appeared in 10 games with the Eagles this season, registering seven points (one goal, six assists). In his rookie season last year with Colorado, Kwas registered 21 points (eight goals, 13 assists) for 21 points in 52 games.
The 5-foot-10, 183-pound forward hails from Cochrane, Alberta. He played four years of NCAA Hockey at Alaska-Anchorage where he was teammates with Brett Cameron. He played in 124 career NCAA games, scoring 90 points (30 goals, 60 assists). He served as an alternate captain with the Seawolves, and during his senior year, scored 32 points (13 goals, 19 assists) in only 38 games.
Kraemer skated in 12 games with the Stingrays scoring four points (one goal, three assists). The trade returns Kraemer to Colorado where he skated the last two seasons, scoring 57 points in 67 games.
The Stingrays begin a 10-game road trip this weekend. South Carolina visits Greenville at 7 p.m. on Saturday, before heading to Atlanta to battle the Gladiators at 7:05 p.m. on Saturday. Fans are invited to catch the games at the Official Watch Party Destination of the Stingrays, King Street Grille-Northwoods.
