
Ciampini Headed to Rockford

INDIANAPOLIS - The American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs announced Tuesday that they have recalled forward Daniel Ciampini from the ECHL's Indy Fuel.
Through 11 games in 2015-16 the 25-year-old Ciampini leads all Fuel rookie forwards in scoring with seven points (2g, 5a), and has tallied points in three of his previous four outings. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound first-year has posted a pair of multi-point outings, picking up a goal and an assist in Evansville on Oct. 17 and in Indy against the Alaska Aces on Nov. 13.
After the conclusion of his NCAA career with Union College, Ciampini appeared in 15 AHL last spring with the Worcester Sharks, where he tallied six points (3g, 3a) and a +5 rating. In four years with the Dutchmen, the native of Concord, Ontario put up 118 points (63g, 55a) in 131 games played. A member of the 2014-15 All-ECAC Hockey First Team, Ciampini also earned a spot on the 2014 NCAA Frozen Four All-Tournament Team for his five point performance en route to Union's first-ever national title.
