Reading Royals News Release
Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League, today announced that goaltender Martin Ouellette has been recalled to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the American Hockey League. Also, earlier today forward Justin Crandall underwent a successful appendectomy and is expected to be out of the lineup for approximately two weeks.
This is the third recall to Lehigh Valley this season for Ouellette, a second year pro from Saint-Hippolyte, Quebec. He has not yet appeared in an AHL game this season. Crandall, a first year pro from Lakeville, Minnesota, is the tied for the league lead in scoring by a rookie (5g-10a15pts).
The Royals return to action on Friday (November 20 @ 7:00 pm) when the Elmira Jackals visit Santander Arena in Reading, PA. That night, the Royals will celebrate 'Hunger Games' Night and will host a post-game ham shoot courtesy of Redner's Market.
