Houston, TX - Houston Aeros General Manager Jim Mill announced on Monday that the Minnesota Wild has reassigned forward Joel Broda to Houston from the Orlando Solar Bears, the Aeros ECHL Affiliate. Mill also announced that defenseman Colton Jobke has been reassigned by Minnesota to Houston from Orlando. Finally, Mill announced goalie Brian Stewart has been released from his PTO.

Broda returns from Orlando after a conditioning assignment. He returned to the ice for the first time since Dec. 29, playing in thre games for the Bears. Broda scored, added an assist and ten penalty minutes with Orlando. He has not played for Houston since suffering an injury on Dec. 29 (missing a span of 34 games). Broda played in 28 games prior to his injury, scoring two goals and totaling four points. The Prince Albert, SK native has played in 122 games for Houston over the last three seasons. Over his career, Broda has 21 goals and 17 assists for 38 points with the Aeros. He was drafted by the Washington Capitals in the fifth round (#144 overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

Jobke made his ECHL debut and played in three games with Orlando. He was scoreless with ten penalty minutes. The 20 year old Jobke is an undrafted free agent out of Regina of the WHL. In 31 games with the Pats this season, Jobke has three goals and 15 assists for 18 points. Over the last four seasons, the 6-foot, 190-pound defenseman has played in 222 WHL games for Regina and the Kelowna Rockets. For his WHL career, Jobke has 14 goals and 51 assists for 65 points, to go along with 317 penalty minutes. The rookie blueliner played in two games for Houston as an amateur at the end of the 2011-12 season.

Stewart, a fourth-year pro, returns to Bakersfield of the ECHL, where he spent the 2012-13 season. In 40 games with the Condors, Stewart was 11-25-3 with a 3.13 goals against average and a .918 save percentage. The 28-year old has played in 13 AHL games, all with the Adirondack Phantoms from 2009-11. He is 4-7-0 all-time in the AHL, sporting a 3.18 g.a.a and a .889 save percentage.

Houston continues a ten-game home stand at Toyota Center on Tuesday, Mar. 29 at 7:05 p.m. against Grand Rapids. The Aeros remain at Toyota Center on Thursday to host San Antonio at 7:05 p.m. The game marks a "Thirsty Thursday", where fans (21 and older) receive a "second drink free coupon" for The Maple Leaf Pub (Smith and Elgin). The first 500 fans to The Maple Leaf Pub after the game will be able to redeem their coupon for their second drink free. Friday night, the Aeros welcome the Chicago Wolves at 7:05 p.m. The game is presented by Houston Eye Associates. The first 3,500 patrons will be given an Aeros magnetic picture frame, compliments of Houston Eye Associates.
