
Lightning Recall Mike Angelidis; Reassign Dana Tyrell To Syracuse

TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled forward Mike Angelidis from the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced today. Additionally, the Lightning have reassigned forward Dana Tyrell to the Crunch.
Angelidis, 27, has skated in 64 games with the Crunch this season, recording 10 goals and 21 points to go along with 142 penalty minutes. He ranks second on the team behind Radko Gudas in penalty minutes. The current Crunch captain also ranks tied for first on the Crunch with two shorthanded goals.
Last season, Angelidis scored his first career NHL goal in his NHL debut on January 24 against the Columbus Blue Jackets at the Tampa Bay Times Forum. The 6-foot-1, 212-pound forward skated in six games with the Lightning last season and collected a goal and five penalty minutes.
The Woodbridge, Ontario native has played in 433 career AHL games with the Norfolk Admirals, Albany River Rats and Crunch, collecting 86 goals and 171 points, to go along with 902 penalty minutes. Last season he was a member of the Admirals team that captured the Calder Cup Championship, skating in 18 games and recording a goal and six points.
Tyrell, 5-foot-11, 192 pounds, has played in 15 games with the Crunch this season, recording five goals and eight points with 11 penalty minutes. He has played in 12 games with Tampa Bay this season, notching a goal and three points. Tyrell has posted a plus-1 rating this season while averaging 9:32 in ice time per game.
The native of Airdrie, Alberta has played in 116 career NHL games, all with the Lightning from 2010-13. He has registered seven goals and 23 points with 22 penalty minutes. Tyrell also played in seven games during the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs with the Lightning.
Tyrell was drafted by the Bolts in the second round, 47th overall, of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
