Sterling, RiverKings shut-out Rayz

Corpus Christi, TX --- Larry Sterling stopped all 26 Corpus Christi shots and Louis Dumont scored twice as the RiverKings won their fifth straight game 4-0 Saturday night at Corpus Christi. The shutout was the third of Sterling's career and the first for the RiverKings since January 29, 2005.

Ryan Campbell scored the only goal that Sterling and the RiverKings defense would need short handed at 2:17 of the first. Darrell Stoddard added the other goal later in the period.

The five game winning streak is the longest since Memphis won six in a row near the of the 2004-05 season. The RiverKings also stay undefeated on the road at 3-0.

The RiverKings now return home for a pair of games versus the defending President's Cup Champion Laredo Bucks Friday and Saturday at the DCC. Both games start at 7:05.
