THE MATCH UP

The RiverKings and Rayz play for the tenth time in their histories tonight for the first of two times this season. The RiverKings are 4-5-0 in the all-time series and are 2-4-0 on the Gulf Coast. The RiverKings have won their last four games, have a league high 14 points and lead the Northeast Division by three points. The Rayz have dropped their last two, including a 4-2 defeat at Odessa last night, and sit in second place in the Southeast Division.

RIVERKINGS HERE AND THERE

Forward Jason Sessa picked up both his 200th goal and 200th assist in Thursday's win over Wichita. He entered the game needing a goal and two assists to reach those marks, and that is exactly what he had in the team's fourth straight win.

Entering tonight, Sessa's career numbers are 200 goals, 200 assists and 400 points.

By playing tonight, defenseman Derek Landmesser will tie Derek Grant for second on the RiverKings All-Time Games Played list. Tonight's game will be his 317th in a Memphis jersey. Don Parsons heads the list with 367 games played.

The last time the RiverKings had a four game winning streak was last season from 12/20/05-12/30/05. That streak included wins over Austin, Bossier-Shreveport, Youngstown and Tulsa.

The RiverKings have started the season 2-0 on the road for the first time since winning their first three road games in 2000-01.

Former RiverKing goalie J.F. Racine will be J.S. Aubin's back up tonight when the Toronto Maple Leafs host the Montreal Canadiens in the annual Hockey Hall of Fame game. Injuries to Toronto number one goalie Andrew Raycroft and Mikael Tellqvist have opened the door for Racine's call up. According to story from the Canadian Press, it is expected to be just a one game call-up as Raycroft is expected to return to action next week. Racine played parts of three seasons with the RiverKings in 02-03, 03-04 and 04-05. He has since played with the St John's Maple Leafs (AHL) and the Toronto Marlies (AHL). This season with the Marlies, Racine is 1-3-0 with a 3.04 GAA and a .897 save percentage. Racine has never played in a NHL game.
