Dayton, Ohio-Nick O'Shea and Tanner Rahier belted home runs and Robert Stephenson fired six dominant innings as the Dayton Dragons defeated the Lansing Lugnuts 11-4 on Wednesday night at Fifth Third Field. The win was the second straight for the Dragons as all nine starters contributed at least one hit.

Stephenson (2-3) walked no one and struck out nine in the finest performance of his professional career. The Reds 2011 first round draft pick allowed just three hits over six scoreless innings, retiring 12 straight at one point. His fastball consistently registered 98 mph on the scoreboard radar gun.

The Dragons scored three runs in the first inning and added five more in the second to take a commanding 8-0 lead. They added one more in the fifth and two in the sixth to build their lead to 11-0 before Lansing got on the board with two in the seventh and two more in the eighth.

O'Shea drilled a two-out, three-run home run in the first inning to get the Dragons started. It was O'Shea's third homer of the year and his third in his last four games. Robert Ramirez delivered a two-run double in the second and O'Shea added an RBI single in the inning as the Dragons led 8-0. Jesse Winker walked with the bases loaded in the fifth to make it 9-0, and Rahier connected on a two-run homer in the sixth. It was Rahier's second homer of the year.

The Dragons finished with 13 hits. Junior Arias went 3 for 5 with a triple and two singles. O'Shea had two hits and four runs batted in. Winker added two hits to raise his batting average to .293. Zach Vincej had a hit and scored two runs to extend his hitting streak to six straight games.

The Dragons (11-20) host the Lugnuts (9-20) at Fifth Third Field in Dayton again on Thursday at 7:05 p.m. Cincinnati Reds pitcher and former Dragon Johnny Cueto is scheduled to start for the Dragons on a Major League injury rehabilitation assignment. Lansing will counter with Javier Avendano (2-1, 3.86). The game will be televised on WHIO Digital Channel 7.2 and Time Warner Cable channels 23 and 372.
