Idaho Steelheads News Release

(Boise, ID) - The Idaho Steelheads and Treasure Valley Gold and Silver are teaming up this weekend to host a food drive where fans will have an opportunity to win diamond earrings simply by bringing a non-perishable food item to Qwest Arena Friday or Saturday night.

The drive will benefit the Freedom Resource Center of Idaho, a local non-profit organization that collects and distributes food and clothing to people in need all over southern Idaho.

Fans are encouraged to bring at least one non-perishable food item (canned or boxed foods that will not spoil) to donate in the Qwest Arena lobby at Friday or Saturday's Steelheads hockey game. Fans that do will be handed a flier, thanking them for their donation. That flier, in turn, can be turned in at Treasure Valley Gold and Silver to be entered into a drawing for a pair of 14K white gold, half-carat diamond earrings. That drawing will take place at a Steelheads game in February.

Treasure Valley Gold and Silver is located at 519 East Fairview in Meridian, between Meridian Road and Locust Grove.

The Steelheads host the Victoria Salmon Kings on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night at 7 PM at Qwest Arena. Friday night is another "4-for-$44" night with the Steelheads - fans can purchase four tickets with four Double R Ranch hot dogs, four Pepsi's, and four bags of Tim's Cascade chips for just $44. Contact the Steelheads front office at 208.383.0080 or log on to www.idahosteelheads.com for more information.
