BOISE, Idaho - The Idaho Steelheads won its season-best fourth straight game tonight, beating the Las Vegas Wranglers 3-1 before 7,078 at Orleans Arena. Frank Lukes had a hand in all three of Idaho's goals, tallying a goal and two assists (five points in two games).

Idaho's head coach John Olver said, "We played a really solid game tonight, much better than last night. It was a real team effort; a huge win for us with four wins on the road and I couldn't ask for more. I like the chemistry in our locker room right now and the momentum that's building."

Idaho's Warren Peters tallied his 13th of the season on the power play at 5:50 of the first period. Dustin Johner notched the equalizer at 11:43, ending the first 20-minutes of play tied at one apiece.

Frank Lukes gave the Steelheads back its one-goal lead, midway through the second period (10:21), a goal that would stand unanswered through the remainder of the frame.

The lone goal in the third period came late, with Las Vegas applying pressure by pulling its goalie and with a power play, but Lukes blocked a Wrangler's shot and Idaho gained control of the puck. Defenseman Dan Vandermeer scored on the empty net, for his second goal in two nights. Vandermeer has scored in all four games on the road trip (3 goals, 1 assist).

Idaho went 2-of-4 on the power play; while Las Vegas failed to convert on its only opportunity. Goaltender Colin Zulianello improves his record to 6-7-1 on the season, stopping 25 of the Wranglers 26 shots. In contrast, Idaho had only 19 shots on goal, and Las Vegas goaltender Sebastien Centemo saw his record drop to 12-9-3.

Idaho returns home to play the Victoria Salmon Kings this Friday and Saturday night.
