Pensacola, FL - Ice Pilots Improve winning Streak to franchise best Ten in a Row. The Pensacola Ice Pilots won both games this weekend at home vs. Texas to improve their winning streak to 10 games. The Ice Pilots won 3-2 vs. Texas on Friday night. Scott May scored two goals in the game for the Ice Pilots and Corey Neilson also scored. The Ice Pilots had 34 shots on goal, 22 penalty minutes and went 2-5 on the power play. Texas had 20 shots on goal, 22 penalty minutes and went 1-5 on the power play. Frederic Cloutier was the winning goalie and Davis Parley took the loss in goal for Texas. The game was Ice Pilots Head Coach Dave Farrish 500th regular season win as a head coach.
The Ice Pilots defeated Texas 5-2 on Saturday night in front of the lar! gest home crowd of the season 7,484. Dwayne Hay, Tyler Beechey, Jordan Krestanovich, Scott May and Corey Neilson scored the goals for the Ice Pilots. Ryan Fultz and Terry Marchant scored goals for Texas. The Ice Pilots had 49 shots on goal, 26 penalty minutes and went 2-5 on the power play. Texas had 43 shots on goal, 16 penalty minutes and went 0-5 on the power play. Frederic Cloutier was the winning goalie and Patrick DesRochers took the loss in goal for Texas.
The Ice Pilots go into the week with the best record in the ECHL at 32-11-4 for 68 points and on a franchise best ten game winning streak. The ten game winning streak matches the league's best as South Carolina won ten games in a row earlier in the season.
The Ice Pilots play home on Monday, February 14th Valentine's Day vs. South Carolina at 7:05 p.m. The Ice Pilots lost at South Carolina earlier this season 4-0 on November 24th. Leading Scorers: Tyler Beechey leads the Ice Pilots in scoring with 60 points and is the leading scorer in the league. Corey Neilson is the leading scoring defenseman in the league with 42 points. Nielson also leads all defenseman with 12 goals and 30 assists. Todd Ford has the third best goals against average in the league at 2.05 and third best save percentage at .936. Frederic Cloutier is tied for first in the league among goalies with 20 wins and is among the league leaders with 948 saves.
Tentative Practice Schedule this week; The Ice Pilots will have a pre skate Monday at 10 a.m. and play home to South Carolina on Monday night. The Ice Pilots may or may not skate on Tuesday. The Ice Pilots will hav! e practice on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the civic center and leave for Ft. Myers Wednesday night at 11 p.m. The Ice Pilots will practice at Florida on Thursdayand will have a pre skate on Friday and Saturday morning at Florida. Ice Pilots and Nextel Team Up with Unofficial Assistant Coach Contest: The Ice Pilots are teaming up with Nextel for an Unofficial Assistant Coach Contest will runs through February 18! th at Nextel owner retail stores. One lucky fan will have the opportun ity to be the unofficial assistant coach of the game by meeting Ice Pilots Head Coach Dave Farrish and the Ice Pilots players before the game on Friday, February 25th vs. the Columbia Inferno at 7:05 p.m.

Ice Pilots Announce Ticket Packages for Kelly Cup Playoffs and 2005-06 Regular Season: The 14 home game Kelly Cup Playoff ticket invoices will be mailed out in mid to late February. Current Season Ticket holders who purchase the playoff package will have the option to apply any unused bala! nce of the playoff tickets to next year's season tickets or have their balance refunded if any of the 14 home playoff games are not played. Playoff payments are due in full by March 31, 2005.
The renewal process for the 2005-2006 season tickets has begun. There is a dollar increase per ticket for all ticket types in all price levels for 2005-06. Early Bird Special: Season ticket holders can put down a $50 deposit per ticket thru March 31, 2005 witht eh full balance for 2005-06 season tickets due in full by September 1, 2005. There is a monthly payment plan option of 12 payments, beginning May 1, 2005 and ending April 1, 2006.
Dodge Player of the Week: Forward Scott May has been nominated for the ECHL Player of the Week. May scored three goals this past week and picked up two assists. Goalie Frederic Cloutier has been nominated for the ECHL Goalie of the Week. Cloutier won both games this past week. Scott May has been named the Dodge Player of the Week.
Barnes Ace Hard! ware and Feed will be sponsoring the Ice Pilots leading scorer award t his season. During the season, we will be updating you with the Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed Ice Pilots top scorer. At the end of the season, Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed will present a trophy to the Ice Pilots top scorer. Fans will have an update on the Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed top scorer in the weekly release and at www.icepilots.com. Tyler Beechey is the top scorer on the Ice Pilots with 60 points. Corey Nielson is the second leading scorer with 42 points and Jordan Krestanovich is third with 40 points.

Assigned Players from Toronto Maple Leafs: The Ice Pilots currently have nine players on the roster assigned from Toronto. They are center Scott May, goalie Todd Ford, defenseman Dave Turon, defenseman Dominic D'Amour, center Chris St. Jacques, center Kris Newbury, center Cory Stillman, left wing Cam Keith and defenseman Tyson Marsh. Kerr's Kids: For the second season in a row the Ice Pilots are introducing "Kerr's Kids." Thanks to Ice Pilots owner Tim Kerr and SMG (Pensacola Civic Center), the Ice Pilots would like to invite organizations devoted to helping children who are terminally ill or have special limitations to be our guest during the 2004-05 regular season for a great ! night of hockey. Each organization is encouraged to pick 3-4 dates thr oughout the regular season. The Ice Pilots will provide free admission for 12 people (We would like to have at least 6 or more children, escorts are required for the children and are counted as part of the 12). SMG will provide a hot dog and soda for each guest. If accessible seating is needed the Ice Pilots must be notified at least 2 days in advance and seating will be arranged. All members must stay in assigned seats. Please provide a list of attendee's 24 hours prior to game day. Ice Pilots Offer Pay-Per-View Webcasts with B2 Networks this season. The Ice Pilots home games and several road games will be available for viewing on the Ice Pilots website at www.icepilots.com. The Ice Pilots have partnered with B2 Networks based in Las Vegas, Nevada on the pay-per-view broadcast.
Fans will be able to click on the "Watch the Game Live" icon at the Ice Pilots website to view and listen to the game. The broadcast is available to fans with a high speed DSL or Cable modem internet connection and the charge is $6 per game. At this time a total of 58 of the Ice Pilots 72 regular season games will be available for viewing at www.icepilots.com. Ice Pilots Radio Show at the Gutter Lounge again this season: The Ice Pilots R! adio show will once again be broadcasted from the Gutter Lounge at Pho enix Crossing inside the new Liberty Lanes this year located at 3200 North Palafox Street.
