Titans Leave Dayton With 3-2 Win

Dayton, OH – The Dayton Bombers dropped a 3-2 decision to the Trenton Titans in front of 2,379 at the Ervin J. Nutter Center Sunday afternoon.

For the fourth time in five games, the Bombers scored first when MATT HERNEISEN gave Dayton a 1-0 lead at 6:17 of the first period. Former Bombers defenseman Mike Schutte tied the game, 1-1, with a powerplay goal at 19:44.

A shorthanded goal from Leon Hayward gave Trenton a 2-1 lead at 5:45 of the second period. Hayward's second goal of the night made it 3-1 at 14:15 of the third period. A late goal from AARON FOSTER pulled Dayton within one with just 5 seconds remaining, but the Titans held on for the 3-2 win snapping Dayton's 4-game (3-0-1) unbeaten streak.

The Bombers return to action Friday night when they host the Johnstown Chiefs at 7:00 PM. The "Coaches Corner Pre-Game Show" starts at 6:50 PM (EST) on 980 Homer, The Sports Animal and at daytonbombers.com.
