
Steelheads Hay Named To First Team All-ECHL

BOISE, Idaho. - The ECHL on Friday announced the First Team All-ECHL selections as determined in a vote of ECHL coaches, and the Steelheads veteran defenseman, and two-time Steelheads Kelly Cup Champion, Darrel Hay, made the cut.
2007-08 First Team All-ECHL
F - David Desharnais, Cincinnati Cyclones (66 gp, 28g, 74a, 102 pts, +35)
F - Josh Soares, Alaska Aces (59 gp, 36g, 45a, 81 pts, -1)
F - Jeff Campbell, Gwinnett Gladiators (63 gp, 25g, 65a, 90 pts, +18)
D - Peter Metcalf, Alaska Aces (60 gp, 7g, 53a, 60 pts, +17)
D - Darrell Hay, Idaho Steelheads (64 gp, 9g, 36a, 45 pts, +12)
G - Anton Khudobin, Texas Wildcatters (27 gp, 20-1-4, 1.98 GAA, .934 Save Pct.)
Darrell Hay of Idaho has 36 assists and 45 points in 64 games with the Steelheads while also playing in the AHL where he has one assist and two penalty minutes in four games with Grand Rapids. He has been voted as a starter for the ECHL All-Star Game each of the last two years serving as captain of the National Conference in 2007 and as an alternate captain in 2008. He helped Idaho win the Kelly Cup championship in 2004 and 2007 and has been an alternate captain each of the last two seasons.
