Sea Wolves Give Away Lead, Thunder Back With Goals From Lisabeth and Beeman in Third

BILOXI, MS - Creating some drama in the final home game of the 2007-08 regular season, the Mississippi Sea Wolves gave back a two-goal lead and fell behind 4-3 before Travis Lisabeth tied the game with his 15th goal of the season and Jason Beeman's third of the year gave the Sea Wolves a 5-4 win over the Pensacola Ice Pilots.

Brandon Scero staked Mississippi to a 1-0 lead when he blasted the rebound of Matt Deschamps shot past Pensacola goalie Cam Ellsworth at 4:10 of the first period. Peter Rouleau drew the Ice Pilots even when his wrister handcuffed Sea Wolves goaltender Ryan Munce and squirted past his at 7:38. Andy Contois popped Jason Beeman's centering pass behind Ellsworth at 16:38 to give the Sea Wolves a 2-1 lead going into the first intermission.

Mississippi kept rolling out of the locker room, with Kyle McAllister potting a power-play goal just 1:18 into the second frame to give the Sea Wolves a 3-1 lead. With the second frame winding down, Zbynek Hrdel's slashing minor at 19:14 sent the Ice Pilots on the power play, and it took just 19 second for Mathieu Roy to find the back of the net with a wrist shot from the high slot.

Brian Pouliot's second goal of the year drew the game even at three just 2:44 into the third period. Luke Erickson's 15th of the year gave Pensacola a 4-3 lead 6:39 into the third, but at 9:59, Travis Lisabeth got Mississippi in a 4-4 tie when he blasted a slapper from the high slot past Ellsworth. Jason Beeman sent the 7, 042 Sea Wolves fans in attendance home happy when he took a pass from pat Oliveto on the goal line, drove to the net, and swatted the puck past Ellsworth while falling to the ice at 15:15.

Mississippi was 1-for-4 on the power play, and Ryan Munce made 19 saves to earn his 19th win of the season.
