
Anderson & Painchaud Sent Back To Gwinnett

Atlanta Gladiators News Release
The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that forward Chad Painchaud has been reassigned by the Atlanta Thrashers to Gwinnett from the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League while Matt Anderson has been reassigned to Gwinnett from the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League. In addition, the Gladiators have signed forward Walker McDonald
Painchaud played in five games with the Wolves since he was called up to Chicago on March 17. In those five games, Painchaud scored one goal. He has played in 22 games with the Wolves this season, tallying 1 goal and 2 assists.
The Mississauga, Ontario native has played in 8 games with Gwinnett this season over two different stints with the team. He has notched 7 goals and 4 assists during this season with Gwinnett. He also tallied 54 points on 22 goals and 32 assists in 72 games with Gwinnett last season.
Painchaud also notched his first career hat trick in Gwinnett's 8-3 win over the Augusta Lynx on March 8. It was the second hat trick of the season for Gwinnett. Painchaud also notched another 3-point game on March 15 against Columbia notching a goal and 2 assists.
Anderson was recalled from loan to the Wolves on March 28 and played for the Wolves in their 3-2 win over the Rockford IceHogs. Anderson also played for the Wolves against the Houston Aeros the next night. The forward was held scoreless in both games. On the season, Anderson has played in 14 games with Chicago totaling one goal and one assist
With the Gladiators this season, Anderson has played in 35 games notching 27 points on 13 goals and 14 assists. The West Islip, NY native also notched five multiple point games with Gwinnett including a 2-goal and 1-assist performance in the Gladiators' 7-4 win over the Columbia Inferno on March 15.
McDonald joins Gwinnett for the second time this season. In his first appearance with Gwinnett, McDonald posted an assist in two games with Gwinnett.
Anderson, Painchaud and McDonald should both be available for the Gladiators when they travel to Columbia on Friday to take on the Inferno.
