BILOXI, MS - The Ice Pilots scored three unanswered goals only to fall late as Jason Beeman tallied the game winner with 4:45 left to give Mississippi a 5-4 win over Pensacola at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum on Friday night.

Mississippi took an early 1-0 lead at 4:10 of the opening period as Brandon Scero fired in his fourth goal of the season past Cam Ellsworth. The Pilots responded as rookie Peter Rouleau netted his first pro goal as he blasted one from the slot past Mississippi net minder Ryan Munce to even things at one. The Sea Wolves would take the lead back as Andy Contois connected on a loose puck, finding the back of the net for his 20th of the season and after 20 minutes it was 2-1 Mississippi.

The Sea Wolves would increase the lead to two as Kyle McAllister found the back of the net just 1:18 into period number two for a 3-1 Mississippi lead. The Pilots would find their scoring touch though with just 27 seconds left in the second period. Mathieu Roy found a loose puck and hammered it in for a power play goal to cut the lead to one.

At 2:44 of the third period Brian Pouliot scored his second goal in the last three games to even the score at three. The Pilots made it three unanswered as it was Luke Erickson firing a turnaround shot from the high slot to give the Ice Pilots their first lead of the game at 4-3. Mississippi tied the game at four as Travis Lisabeth beat Ellsworth and they would go ahead for good as Jason Beeman on a great individual effort scored the game winner and Mississippi defeated the Ice Pilots 5-4.

Cam Ellsworth made 34 saves in the defeat. The Ice Pilots finished the game 2 for 6 on the power play.

The Ice Pilots conclude the 2007-08 season at home against Mississippi on Saturday night. There will be plenty of giveaways and prizes for Fan Appreciation Night. Game time is at 7:05 p.m.
