BOISE, Idaho - The Idaho Steelheads swept the two-game weekend set over the Victoria Salmon Kings with a 4-2 victory Saturday night at the Bank of America Centre. The standing-room only 5,403 in attendance watched Brett Draney tally a goal and two assists in the penalty-filled contest.

Idaho outshot Victoria 32-13, and goaltender Colin Zulianello as he improved his record to 7-7-1 on the season. The Salmon Kings' NHL goaltender Dan Blackburn, saw his record fall to 2-5-0.

The first period ended tied at one apiece. Victoria had the first power play at the 5:00-mark, but Zulianello made a great save and Jonathan Zion a great defensive play helping Idaho kill it off. But, soon after Ryan Watson scored after missing on his original shot, he picked up his own rebound and wrapped around the net, catching Zulianello out of position. The even-strength goal came at 7:10. Victoria was once again on the power play, but it was Idaho who would tally. Brett Draney made a beautiful pass from Idaho's blue line between the legs of a Salmon King's defender to Frank Lukes, and Lukes skated in on a shorthanded breakaway and beat Dan Blackburn at 10:58.

Draney tallied to give Idaho a one-goal lead just :46 seconds into the second frame. Zion recorded an assist on the power play goal after firing a shot at Blackburn, before Draney notched his rebound. Idaho scored its third of the night when Bobby Russell knocked home his 16th of the season, on the power play, at 12:42. Victoria closed the gap to one with :13 left in the period and on the power play. Alexei Glukhov skated the puck in and passed to Seth Leonard who wristed a shot past Zulianello.

There was no scoring in the third period until magic number "19" took hold. Victoria pulled its goaltender with less than half a minute remaining, and with :19 left in the game, #19 Frank Lukes blasted home an empty-netter from just inside the blue line.
