Gomez, Minard Lead Aces Over Bombers Sunday Afternoon

Dayton, OH – The Dayton Bombers dropped a 3-1 decision to the Alaska Aces in front of 3,769 at the Ervin J. Nutter Center Sunday afternoon. NHL All Star forward Scott Gomez and Chris Minard recorded 3 assists each in the winning effort for Alaska.

Alaska registered goals in each of the three periods to open a 3-0 lead, before BRETT NOWAK broke the shutout bid of Peter Aubry in the third period. Charles Linglet gave Alaska a 1-0 lead at 15:58 of the first period.

Mike Scott opened a 2-0 lead, on the powerplay, at 15:56 of the second period. Then, at 3:44 of the third period, Mike Jones made it 3-0 with a powerplay goal of his own.

Nowak's goal was his 14th goal this season, but the Bombers fell short and are now winless in their last four games (0-3-1).
