JOHNSTOWN, PA (February 20, 2005) - A short-staffed Trenton Titans squad could not complete the comeback in a 3-2 defeat at the hands of the Johnstown Chiefs in front of 1,746 at Cambria County War Memorial

Shawn Mather drew first blood for Johnstown with he put Mike James' rebound past Andrew Allen at 11:43 of the opening period.

With teammate Jeff Sullivan in the box for hooking, Joe Tallari gave the Chiefs a 2-0 lead with a shorthanded goal 1:14 into second period.

The Titans would break through at 10:43 of the third period with Michael Schutte's sixth goal of the season making the score 2-1.

Tallari was able to put Johnstown up 3-1 with his second of the game at 17:19 of the third period. Evan Nielsen would answer right back for the Titans with a goal twenty-nine seconds later, but that's as close as Trenton would get.

Allen stopped 25 of 28 shots and suffered his first regulation loss since January 29. The Titans were 0-for-3 on the power play and 3-for-3 on the penalty kill.
