Lincoln, Neb. - The Stars scored two third-period goals to top the Sioux City Musketeers, 3-2, in the Ice Box on Saturday night.

Sioux City opened the scoring at 12:55 of the first period when CJ Dodero capitalized on a turnover inside the Stars zone to make it 1-0. Mitch Fossier was credited with the assist.

The Musketeers took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission despite being outshot 10-8.

Tanner Laczynski evened the score for the Stars with a power play goal at 9:09 of the second. Ryan Jones and Grant Jozefek picked up the assists.

Sioux City broke the tie late in the second period when Connor Valseano scored on the rebound at 15:05 to make it 2-1 for the Musketeers after 40 minutes.

The Stars responded with a pair of goals in the third.

Will D'Orsi picked up his 12th of the season at 2:47 of the period before Laczynski scored his second of the night at 9:39 to make it 3-2.

Jozefek and Jones finished with two assists.

Peyton Jones logged 22 saves in his fifth consecutive win.
