The Stars and Syracuse Crunch will meet for the first time ever on Saturday night at Wells Fargo Arena. Saturday's game is the one and only appearance by the New Yorkbased team during the Regular Season. Iowa plays in Syracuse on November 22nd--- A member of the Western Conference's North Division, the Crunch are off to an 0-4 start this season, having lost two games on the road and at home. The winless streak has seen opponents outscore them, 22-5--- The Crunch have Eric Boguniceki on their roster. A former 2001-02 Les Cunningham Award winner as the AHL's Most Valuable Player when he was with Worcester (IceCats), he has 115 goals and 140 assists in 232 career AHL games: 232(115/140/255). The native of New Haven, CT., has notched 34 goals and 42 assists for 76 points in 167 career NHL matches with Pittsburgh, St. Louis and Florida--- Like Iowa, the Crunch have several players on this year's squad that played with them last season. Sixteen players returned for the 2006-07 season--- Andy Canzanello and Brandon Sugden are ranked fifth and 17th overall in the AHL in penalty minutes. Canzanello has 23 PIM's, while Sugden has 19 PIM's--- Syracuse is the AHL's second-most penalized team with 153 PIM's. Manitoba leads the League with 154 PIM's--- The Crunch play in Omaha on Friday night.

The Stars and the Rampage will meet for the second of 10 Regular Season games on Sunday afternoon at Wells Fargo Arena. The Stars defeated the Rampage 5-4 on October 7th in Texas--- The Rampage are 2-3 on the season, having defeated the Houston Aeros 5-4 in a shootout on Sunday. Forward Yanick Lehoux notched one goal and three assists, while former Griffin Don MacLean had two power-play goals in the win for San Antonio. Lehoux is 10th in the AHL with seven points, including five assists--- San Antonio's penalty-kill is ranked 23rd overall at 75%. They have allowed 10 goals in 40 man-down situations. Their power-play is ranked 20th overall, 13.3%, scoring four goals in 30 chances--- The Rampage host the Chicago Wolves on Wednesday and Friday and play in Omaha on Saturday before playing in Des Moines Sunday afternoon--- Sunday's game is a Family Feast Day at the Iowa Stars. Fans can purchase four $21 tickets for $64. Along with the tickets, you also receive four hot dogs and four sodas. - Mon., Oct. 16th - IOWA STARS WEEKLY 6 -7 PM- Iowa Stars Weekly hits Krieger's Hometown Sports Grill in West Des Moines from 6-7 PM. Today's guests will be Dan Hacker and Marty Sertich. Krieger's is located off of Jordan Creek Parkway in the Bridgewood Plaza.

- Sat., Oct. 21st - Join us for Breast Cancer Awareness Night at the Iowa Stars. Beginning October 21st at Wells Fargo Arena, a limited edition Iowa Stars Pink Puck will be available for $10. All kid fans can enter-to-win a chance to win a night of Trick-or- Treating with the Stars mascot, Shooter. Also, any child dressed in costume will be invited down to the ice for a parade on the ice. - Tobias Stephan registered his first North American professional win in Saturday's 4-3 victory. He made 24 saves in the win.

- Goalie Dan Ellis is 3-0 on the season with a .912 Save Percentage and a 2.67 Goals Against Average.

NOTES: The Iowa Stars and the Aeros met for the second consecutive game in Iowa's Home Opener on Thursday night. The Stars defeated the Aeros, 3-1, earning their second consecutive win against Houston and pushed their winning streak to three-straight to open the season. Forward Junior Lessard notched his third goal in as many games. In the first three games of the season, the Quebec-native has three goals and three assists: 3(3/3/6). Goalie Dan Ellis registered his third straight victory.

NOTES: The Stars and the Houston Aeros met for the third time in six days on Saturday night at Wells Fargo Arena. The Stars defeated the Aeros by the score of 4-3 and have pushed their winning-streak to four games to start the 2006-07 American Hockey League season. Junior Lessard pushed his points-streak to four-straight games with the lone assist on Vojtech Polak's first goal of the season. With another assist on Loui Eriksson's goal, Lessard now has eight points in four games: 4(3/5/8). Iowa Stars goaltender Tobias Stephan made 24 saves en-route to his first North American professional win.
