
Admirals Score Two Wins at Scope

NORFOLK, VA - The Admirals lit the lamp early and often in two games against the Springfield Falcons at Scope this past weekend. They used five power play goals to defeat the Falcons 6-3 in their home opener on Friday night. Carl Corazzini and Dustin Byfuglien had two goals apiece, and the Admirals erased a third-period deficit with four unanswered goals to win the game. The following day, Norfolk tied a franchise record for goals in a game in an 8-1 victory over Springfield. Troy Brouwer and Jonas Nordqvist each scored their first two pro goals.
Norfolk continues a season-long seven-game homestand by hosting their East Division rivals the Philadelphia Phantoms on Friday and Saturday, October 20th and 21st, at Scope.
STANDINGS
At 2-0-1-0 (5 pts), Norfolk is currently fourth in the East Division. Hershey leads the East with a 4-0-0-0 record (8 pts). Philadelphia and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton are both 3-1-0-0 (6 pts) and are tied for second place. Tied for fifth with four points apiece are Albany and Bridgeport (2-1-0-0) and Binghamton (1-2-0-2).
