Potter and Lee Assigned to Charlotte

Hartford, October 16, 2006: Hartford Wolf Pack general manager/head coach Jim Schoenfeld announced that the Wolf Pack have loaned defenseman Corey Potter and forward Mark Lee to the Charlotte Checkers of the ECHL, effective yesterday.

Potter, 22, spent the last four seasons skating with the Michigan State Spartans, where he played in a total of 148 games, scoring a total of 8 goals and 36 assists for 44 points and registering 273 penalty minutes.

Lee, 22, skated in 27 games with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers last season, netting one goal and registering 10 penalty minutes. Lee also appeared in 36 ECHL games with the Trenton Titans in 2005-06, registering six goals and 19 assists for 25 points, along with 30 penalty minutes. The forward spent most of his first pro season in the UHL, after playing one season in the QMJHL with the Prince Edward Island Rocket.

The Wolf Pack return to action Friday night in Bridgeport (7:30 PM faceoff) for the second GEICO Connecticut Cup matchup of the season and then host the Portland Pirates Saturday at home (7:00 PM).
