
Milwaukee's Radulov named CCM Vector/AHL Player of the Week

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... The American Hockey League announced today that Milwaukee Admirals right wing Alexander Radulov has been named the CCM Vector/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending October 15, 2006. In two games last week, Radulov tallied two goals and four assists for six assists along with a plus-3 rating.
On Friday night, Radulov became the first Admirals player to record five points in a game since the team joined the AHL in 2001. He scored one goal and assisted on four others, having a hand in all of Milwaukee's offense during a 7-5 loss to visiting Chicago. The next night, Milwaukee paid the Wolves a visit and Radulov broke a scoreless tie with his third goal of the season, sparking the Admirals to a 5-1 win
In recognition of his achievement, Radulov will be presented with an etched crystal award prior to an upcoming Admirals home game.
A native of Nizhny Tagil, Russia, Radulov was Nashville's first-round selection (15th overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. The 20-year-old rookie now has three goals and four assists for seven points in three games with Milwaukee. Last season, he was named the Canadian Major Junior Player of the Year after leading the entire Canadian Hockey League with 91 assists and 152 points in 62 games for Quebec (QMJHL). Radulov added 55 points in 23 playoff contests, and was named tournament MVP as the Remparts captured the Memorial Cup championship.
