MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Biscuits (17-12) committed three errors and finished with only four hits in a 9-1 loss to the Huntsville Stars (18-11) Friday night at Riverwalk Stadium. With the win, the Stars have won the series.
Taylor Jungmann (2-3) held the Biscuits to one run on three hits through six innings for the win, while striking out seven. The Biscuits only had one hit through the first five innings before finally getting on the board with a double from Richie Shaffer that scored Taylor Motter.
The Stars' offense was held at bay through four innings by Michael Colla (1-4). It wasn't until the fifth that Huntsville was able to break through. Huntsville broke things open in the eighth inning when they brought ten batters to the plate. The Biscuits allowed three hits, four walks and five runs in the eighth. Stars led 9-1 after the inning.
The series-finale is Saturday night at 6:35. RH Matt Neil will make the start for the Biscuits, while the Stars will have LH Brent Suter on the hill.
