MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Ryan Brett ripped a go-ahead home run in a 7-3 win for the Biscuits (17-11) in game two of a doubleheader after Montgomery lost game one 5-2 to the Huntsville Stars (17-11) Thursday night at Riverwalk Stadium.

Brett came to the plate with the Biscuits trailing 3-2 in the fifth inning. With two runners on Brett smashed a three-run homer to give the Biscuits a 5-3 lead. The Biscuits would add two more runs in the sixth to lead 7-3.

Biscuits trailed 2-0 after the first inning, but it was an RBI-single from Jeff Malm to make it a 2-1 game in the second inning. Malm was then caught in a rundown which allowed Jake Hager to score and tie the game at two.

Jimmy Patterson (2-0) picked up the win with Andrew Bellatti (2) earned the save.

In game one, Cameron Seitzer and Alejando Segoiva each hit a solo home run but it was a three-run second inning that was the difference for Huntsville. Dylan Floro (2-2) and Drew Gagnon settled in after the first two innings.

The Stars added two runs in the seventh inning to lead 5-2.

Game four of the series is Friday night at 7:05. RH Michael Colla will be on the hill for the Biscuits while RH Taylor Jungmann will throw for the Stars.
