ROSEMONT, Ill. - The Texas Stars erupted for three power play goals and Greg Rallo tallied his 150th career point for the franchise in a 7-3 road win over the Chicago Wolves on Friday night in front of 3,321 in attendance at Allstate Arena.

Rallo's milestone point came on a power play goal as part of a sequence for the Stars (2-0-0-0) where he and Devin Shore scored nine seconds apart to open a 4-2 lead in the second period. The two forwards each finished with two goals in the win.

Texas continues their three-game road weekend Saturday at 7 p.m. when they visit the Rockford IceHogs.

The Stars opened up the scoring with a pair of goals late in the first period. Shortly after killing off the Wolves' first power play, Matej Stransky snapped home his first of the season at 13:26 on assists from Brendan Ranford and Stephen Johns. Just over three minutes later, Gemel Smith scored his first of the year after Stransky forced a turnover in the Wolves' zone and fed the puck in front.

The Wolves (1-1-0-0) knotted things up at 2-2 in the second with goals from Peter Harrold at 6:20 and Danny Kristo at 16:09, but Shore and Rallo quickly responded for the Stars to pull away. Shore buried his second of the year 40 seconds after Kristo tied the game, and Rallo netted first of the night just nine seconds later to make it 4-2.

Rallo added a fifth goal for the Stars 1:13 into the third for his second of the game. Ty Rattie tried to spark a comeback for Chicago with his third of the season 20 seconds later, but the Stars added goals from Cole Ully and another from Shore to pull away.

John Muse earned his second win of the season with 23 saves. Pheonix Copley suffered the loss, stopping 23.

The Stars finished 3-for-6 on the man-advantage, and killed off all four Chicago power plays.

The Texas Stars are the primary development affiliate of the NHL's Dallas Stars and currently in their seventh season at Cedar Park Center. Full season, 24-game and 12-game ticket packages for the 2015-16 campaign are on sale now. For more information, call (512) GO-STARS (467-8277) or visit TexasStars.com.
