Texas Stars News Release
CEDAR PARK, TX - The Texas Stars, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Dallas Stars, will be hosting their 4th Annual Teddy Bear Toss Night on Saturday, November 17th at Cedar Park Center.
On Saturday as Texas squares off with the Charlotte Checkers at 7:00 p.m., the team encourages all fans to bring a teddy bear or other new stuffed animal to the game and throw it on the ice when the Stars score their first goal of the game. All stuffed animals collected at the Teddy Bear Toss will be donated to Operation Blue Santa as part of the Stars' participation in the Chuy's Children Giving to Children Parade on December 1st. Fans who bring a stuffed animal to the game for the Teddy Bear Toss will also receive a voucher for one free ticket to the Wednesday, December 19th home game against San Antonio. BOB FM will be broadcasting live at Cedar Park Center on Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to help promote this great cause. Last year the Stars' Teddy Bear Toss collected more than 1,700 stuff animals for under privileged children during the holidays.
In addition, The Parking Spot, the official airport parking company of the Texas Stars, will be collecting new, unwrapped toys outside the arena at all remaining November home games to donate to Operation Blue Santa. Fans that bring a toy to The Parking Spot Shuttle during the last four November home games will be entered to win free parking for a month at Cedar Park Center, courtesy of The Parking Spot. The Texas Stars and The Parking Spot also team up to enter a float in the Chuy's Parade.
The Texas Stars return to the ice on Thursday, November 15th as they host the San Antonio Rampage for Food Drive Night, a 7:30 pm faceoff at Cedar Park Center. Pro-rated full and partial 2012-13 season seat packages are on sale now. For more information on Texas Stars season tickets call (512) GO-STARS (467-8277) or visit www.TexasStarsHockey.com.
