Milwaukee Admirals Weekly Update
November 13, 2012 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Milwaukee Admirals News Release
Mike Moore...Admirals captain Mike Moore hadn't scored a goal in the first seven games of the season, but in the past four games he has tallied four markers, including two on Saturday night in the Ads 4-2 win over Rockford. Those four goals put him just one shy of his career high of five in a season with more than 80% of the season to play. Previously the fastest Moore had scored four goals was 38 games, back in 2008-09 and it was the third time he has lit the red light in a game.
Moore signed with Nashville in the off-season after he spent the past four seasons in the San Jose organization, posting 20 points (4g-16a) and 85 penalty minutes in 62 games with the Worcester Sharks in 2011-12. In 254 career AHL games, the Calgary, AB native has 72 points (14g-58a) and 365 penalty minutes and also appeared in six NHL games with San Jose in 2010-11, notching a goal and seven penalty minutes. Moore is no stranger to the captaincy as he served in that role for Worcester in 2010-11 and also for Princeton University during his senior season in 2007-08
800 AND COUNTING...Friday's win against Chicago on Friday night was not only their last home game for three weeks, but also the 800th home victory in franchise history. Milwaukee now holds an all-time mark of 800-460-60-34-69 in 1,423 home contests. The three primary venues the Ads have called home include the BMO Harris Bradley Center, the MECCA (now the U.S. Cellular Arena), and Wilson Park Ice Center. In addition, the Admirals have played home games in Madison, WI, Green Bay, WI, Marquette, MI, Houghton, MI and Nashville, TN.

TOUCHDOWN...After scoring six goals in their previous three games combined, the Admirals erupted for a season-best seven goals in Friday night's win over the Wolves. Milwaukee also posted a season high for goals in a period with four in the first. The Ads had 11 different players post at least a point and six players with multi-point games. The Ads hadn't tallied seven goals in a game since they beat Rockforrd 7-3 last December 26 at the Bradley Center.

BECKER IS BETTER...Admirals forward Taylor Beck posted his first career multi-goal game last Friday night and his second three-point night of the season. Beck currently leads the team in scoring in both points (12) and assists (9). The St. Catharines, ON native was the Admirals top scoring rookie and finished third on the team overall last season with 40 points on 16 goals and 24 assists.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN...The Admirals began a season-long seven game roadtrip last Saturday against the IceHogs. The one bright side of the swing is that it will only require one flight, which will take place this weekend with two games in Oklahoma City. Following that the Ads will play in Chicago on November 20 and 24, Peoria on November 23 and finish the swing in Grand Rapids on November 25. The next home game will be on November 30 against the Wolves. So far this season the Ads are 3-4 away from the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
