
Stars Fall 4-1 to Phantoms

Lincoln, Neb. - Backed by two goals from forward Alex Esposito, the Youngstown Phantoms defeated the Lincoln Stars 4-1 on Friday night at the Ice Box.
Youngstown jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first period.
Alex Esposito opened the scoring at the 0:37 mark beating Stars goaltender Peyton Jones on a shot from the point. Forward James Winkler gave Youngstown a 2-0 lead at the 17:41 mark of the period.
The second period carried the same theme as the first.
Youngstown forward Kevin Conley cashed in at the 4:07 mark of the period. Youngstown carried a 3-0 lead into the second intermission.
Each team would add a goal in the third period. Alex Esposito scored at the 14:41 mark, then Lincoln forward Ludvig Hoff scored at the 19:27 to make it a 4-1 final.
Peyton Jones stopped 26 of 30 shots
The Lincoln Stars are back in action Saturday, November 21. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m. against the Youngstown Phantoms.
