Ralston, NE - Mitch Perrault scored a power play goal in the first period and Kris Oldham stopped all 21 shots he faced as the Omaha Lancers defeated the visiting Team USA-U18's with a 1-0 shutout victory in front of 2,972 fans at Ralston Arena on Friday night.

For the third straight game, Omaha scored the first goal of the game while on the power play. After Team USA's J.D. Greenway took a holding call in front of his own net, the Lancers went to the man advantage for the first time of the night. Omaha set up on the power play and sent a shot on net that was stopped by goaltender Joseph Woll. The rebound went right to Mitch Perrault who fired the puck over the left leg pad of a diving Woll for a 1-0 lead. The goal was Perrault's sixth of the year assisted by William Fallstrom, his second point of the year, and Nathan Krusko, his sixth helper.

Lancers' goaltender Kris Oldham made a game-saving left leg pad stop early in the third period on forward Joey Anderson to keep the 1-0 advantage. That held up as the final to end Omaha's losing streak at home. Oldham was credited with the shutout and his sixth win of the season.

The Omaha Lancers are back home tomorrow night as they host the Waterloo Black Hawks on Star Wars Night presented by Safelite AutoGlass at Ralston Arena! Can't make it? Fans can listen live to the game beginning at 6:50 p.m. with the Valpak Pregame Show on "The Mighty" 1290 KOIL, Mighty 1290 KOIL Mobile APP, www.mighty1290koil.com, and www.FASTHockey.com.
