Three Lancers Selected in 2026 NHL Draft

June 28, 2026 - Two former Omaha Lancers and one current player were selected on Day Two of the 2026 NHL Draft on Saturday in Buffalo. The Winnipeg Jets picked Zach Wooten in the fourth round with the 116th overall pick, the New York Islanders selected Bobby Cowan in the seventh round with the 205th overall pick, and the Utah Mammoth took Artem Prima in the seventh round with the 211th overall pick. Morgan Commits to Army

May 4, 2026 - Omaha Lancers forward Tanner Morgan has announced his commitment to play college hockey at Army, a Division-I Atlantic Hockey America conference team. Morgan, 19, just finished his second season with the Lancers and skated in all but three games this past campaign. In 59 contests he recorded 31 points (9+22) after previously recording 14 points (9+5) in 51 games in 2024-25. Former Lancer McDonald Makes NHL Debut

April 15, 2026 - Former Omaha Lancer Hunter McDonald skated in his first NHL game Tuesday night and picked up an assist in the Philadelphia Flyers' 4-2 win over the Montreal Canadiens. McDonald earned the game's third star by recording an assist on the Flyers' second goal of the night. His teammate and fellow former Lancer, Alex Bump, scored Philadelphia's final goal.
